Avoca point has long been the haunt of famous surfers such as Mark Sainsbury, Bryce Ellis, Ross Clarke Jones and Shane Powel. It needs a good sized North East swell and it's off shore in a Southerly or a Westerly.
Avoca Centre
Avoca centre works off almost any swell direction which makes it a favourite spot for competitions due to the fact it's very consistent, it's off shore in a Southerly or a westerly and can handle anything up to 15 feet.
North Avoca
North Avoca is also very consistent and works well in a Southerly swell with big left hinders breaking off the left hand point.
